Fandango
Barroco
Our show is a fandango-concert. We explore gradation and contrast in music, singing, and dancing. Our program includes works taken from Spanish and Mexican Baroque Guitar tablatures combined with Mexican traditional Sones--mostly Sones Jarochos from the Veracruz region. Through a musical grid we wish to show to what extent the Baroque and the Jarocho are two sides of the same coin. They may be distant in time but remain close in spirit. In our show they are gathered together in a single fiesta or fandango. |
